Be Featured on a Future Cover
Want to see your artwork on the cover of a future issue of Analogue?
Fill out the form below and we’ll add you to our Call for Covers email, which goes out every few months when we’re looking for artwork for upcoming issues.
We’re interested in work across a variety of media and styles, though we tend to favor non-photography-based pieces. We recommend submitting something that feels representative of your work while keeping a few practical things in mind:
What works well on a cover
- Portrait-friendly composition: Analogue is trimmed to 8.25″x10.75″ after printing and cutting, so you should consider artwork that looks good when cropped to a vertical format.
- A strong, centralized subject: Images with their main visual focus away from the extreme edges tend to adapt best to the cover.
- Room for the masthead: Our Analogue masthead appears near the top of the cover, so some relatively open space in that area is helpful. In limited cases we may consider moving the masthead to a different spot on the page.
- Room for cover text: We include a small number of article callouts on each cover. We’ll do our best to place them without covering important elements of the artwork.
File requirements
Final cover artwork must be available at 300 dpi at 8.5″x11″. The outer 1/8″ of the artwork will be trimmed to accommodate bleed, and further cropping may be required to fit the cover layout.
You don’t need to design around our masthead or cover text yourself. Send us your piece and we’ll take care of turning it into an Analogue cover with the same level of care we’d want given to our own work.
